Barwon Management Group is the consulting base of Helen Egan. Barwon Management now operates in Victoria after 15+ years in the Northern Territory.
Barwon Management Group is a nod to its namesake, Barwon Heads, Victoria (where the water is properly cold!).
Helen has worked across the aged care, health and social services sector since 1998, living in Darwin between 2006 and 2021. She has contributed to the community through various governance and professional roles in Victorian, national and Northern Territory arenas over the last 20+ years.
Between 2012 and mid 2018 Helen was CEO of TeamHEALTH (NT’s largest provider of mental health recovery support). One of the key areas of her recent professional work in the NT’s Top End has been working with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community members and stakeholders in the health, disability and mental health sectors during the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Helen has the registration, qualifications and expertise to conduct audits for aged care residential services under the Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS providers for the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and provides these services through an Approved Quality Auditor Body. Helen is also able to conduct audits under the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
